Architensions
Architensions (ATE), led by Alessandro Orsini and Nick Roseboro, is an architectural design studio operating as an agency of research, and based in New York and Rome. Architensions works at the intersection of theory, practice, and academia, focusing on social behaviors and architecture, both in continuous dialogue with the context and aiming at creating new experiential scenarios.

	The studio seeks to define fields of actions for the built environment that reconnect urbanism and architecture, through spaces that establish a narrative within the city and oppose the paradigm of architecture as a financial tool. 
Their work and research have been published and exhibited internationally at the Casa dell’Architettura in Rome, the Van Alen Institute, Storefront for Art and Architecture, Center for Architecture, and the Java Project Gallery in New York. In 2015, Libria published the volume “Forma Urbana,” a focus on Architensions’ research on experience, the fifth dimension of architecture.

	Current Interests

Founded in 2017 by Matthew Au and Mira Henry, Current Interests draws on the deep knowledge each brings to the partnership. Together, Au and Henry have designed and&#38;nbsp;constructed a wide range of complex building programs, including public cultural&#38;nbsp;projects, residences, commercial spaces, and museum exhibitions. Current Interests&#38;nbsp;seeks meaningful relationships with clients and works toward aesthetically nuanced&#38;nbsp;projects of all scales.

	Founded by Ann Lui and Craig Reschke in 2015, the practice spans diverse spatial scales with a focus on arts and culture organizations, non-profit facilities, and mission-driven businesses. Future Firm operates on the core belief that architecture and design should focus on building a more equitable and thriving city for everyone. To this end, our approaches are built on the idea that design is a process, not an end result, which seeks to improve outcomes through iteration, testing, and discussion. In order to tackle these urgent questions in the built environment, Future Firm’s practice is modeled after a mountain climbing team, focusing on elevating diverse points of view and interdisciplinary approaches to solve complex challenges.

French 2D is an award-winning architecture studio based in Boston and is deeply engaged with local issues of collectivity, housing, public space, history, and identity. 	We work on housing and mixed-use projects with a focus on strange housing types that combine familiar ideas of home with more radical organizations and typologies (see our current cohousing project&#38;nbsp;in greater Boston and our microhousing project recently completed in Boston). We work on civic installations and exhibitions (or sets in the city) that bring people together for familiar rituals in unfamiliar spaces (see our experimental serial dinner-party and our fuzzy bartering environment). Our interest in the hybrid models that exist between practice and academia has been the catalyst for our current involvement in a series of BSA workshops and a symposium we are organizing along with a small group of practitioners and academics, entitled Now Practice Now.

French 2D received a 2020 P/A (Progressive Architecture) Award from Architect Magazine, and was named an Architectural Record Magazine Design Vanugard winner in 2019. The firm was featured as Architect Magazine's October 2017 Next Progressives, and invited to create an installation on Boston City Hall Plaza for HUBweek 2017. French 2D was one of five finalists in the 2013 MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program. 

French 2D’s work has been published in Architect Magazine, Domus, Architect’s Newspaper, Architectural Record, RISD inTAR Journal, The Cornell Journal of Architecture, and The New Museum’s New City Reader. The firm has been featured on Madame Architect, on Archinect, and in Architect Magazine. Their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Syracuse University School of Architecture, the Boston Society of Architects Space, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the US Pavilion of the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale, and at Boston's HUBweek.</description>
